Iran blocks access to “Eurovision 2012”

eurovision 2012Iran has reportedly blocked access to “Eurovision.TV” website, which sells tickets online for Eurovision-2012 Song Contest, which is scheduled to be hosted in Azerbaijani capital of Baku. The contest will take place in May.

The ticket sale is being organized by European Broadcasting Union. The prices vary from 30-50 Euros and 90-150 Euros.

A lot of people from neighboring Iran were expected to book tickets to visit the upcoming song contest, however, Iranian government blocked access to the website, to “restrain” Iranians from the “devilish music”.

One of the citizens from Iranian Southern Azerbaijan province was unable to purchase the ticket, since the website was banned from accessing. Reportedly, the website has been blocked for two days already.
