Iran bypasses sanctions, exports shoes to 30 countries

Iran has increased exporting shoes to 30 counties over the last 10 months, though western states have intensified imposing sanctions against the country. The value of the export hits $117 million.

Considering Iraq and Afghanistan as the key markets for Iran’s shoe, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, UAE, Tajikistan, Bahrain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Moldavia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Kuwait, Norway, Nigeria, Germany, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, Tanzania,Sweden, and France’s markets have purchased Iran’s shoes as well.

Imposing international sanctions have not affected the markets and the country is ranked 10th in the world regarding the volume of shoes production.

Iran possesses more than 100 shoe-making projects underway in foreign countries in this regard and is willing to increase the projects up to 400.
